🏡 House Guide

Welcome to our home! We hope you feel right at home here. Below you’ll find some useful information to help you make the most of your stay in the flat.

There is a parking space reserved for you; it is the first one facing the street, in front of the building. The spaces are allocated to specific guests, so please do not park in any of the others.

You will be given the code for the building’s entrance door on the day of your arrival, along with the rest of the instructions.

👟 Throughout the Apartment

The apartment has wooden flooring in most rooms (except for the entrance hall, corridor, and bathroom).

We usually remove our shoes when entering the apartment and kindly ask you to do the same to help preserve the floors.

⚠️ Stretch Ceilings

All rooms in the apartment (except the bathroom) are fitted with stretch ceilings.

Please take special care:

  • No ball games inside the apartment.

  • No champagne corks launched toward the ceiling.

  • Please do not touch or push on the ceilings.

They are perfectly safe for normal use but can be damaged by impacts or sharp objects.

☀️ Shutters

The flat is fitted with traditional-style metal shutters.

In very hot weather, we recommend:

  • keeping the windows and shutters closed during the day

In any case, please do not leave the windows open when you are not at home. At night, in the main room, when you are asleep, leave the shutters closed and the windows open if you want a bit of air in, or close everything (shutters and windows).

🛏️ Bedrooms

Children's Bedroom

  • Two single beds.

  • One of them includes a pull-out trundle bed stored underneath.

You will also find board games stored under the bed.

If, for any reason, you need the folding bed, you’ll find sheets in the cupboard to the right of the mirror in the hallway.

💨 Ceiling Fans

Each bedroom is equipped with a ceiling fan.

How to Use Them

  1. Turn on the wall switch in the room.

  2. Use the remote control to manage:

    • fan speed;

    • light;

    • fan on/off.

The fan can operate independently from the light.

(Please refer to the photos provided in the guide for the remote controls.)

🛁 Bathroom

Nothing special to report.

Washing Machine

A washing machine is available for your use.

Liquid detergent can be found above the machine.

We usually use:

  • "Synthetics" programme

  • "Express" option or not

Drying racks are stored in the guest room. You can hang your washing out on the balcony so it dries faster.

Vanity Unit

The unit under the washbasins is sensitive to damp… well… it’s a shame, haha.

We usually place a towel between the two sinks to help protect the furniture.

Thank you for continuing this habit.

First Aid Kit

Under the first sink, you will find:

  • a small first aid kit;

  • basic medical supplies;

  • a hairdryer;

  • washcloths.

The nearest pharmacies are literally at the end of the street.

Additional clean towels are available under the second washbasin or in the cupboard to the right of the mirror in the hallway

🚰 Entrance Sink

The small sink in the entrance area has a tendency to drip.

Please make sure the tap is fully closed after use.

  • induction cooktop;

  • built-in refrigerator;

  • built-in freezer;

  • dishwasher.

We usually use the kitchen scale located nearby to weigh the bowl directly.

Spices and Pantry Essentials

Under the cooktop, you will find:

  • oils;

  • vinegars;

  • spices;

  • seasonings.

Please feel free to use them.

You are also welcome to help yourself to the rice and pasta if needed.

🛋️ Living Room & Dining Area

You will find many books, decorative objects and travel souvenirs throughout the apartment.

Please feel free to browse them carefully.

We have a large collection of photography books and art books.

⚠️ If children would like to look through them, we recommend checking the contents first, as some books may not be suitable for younger readers.

📺 Television & Streaming Services

A single remote control operates the television.

The following streaming services are already available:

Amazon Prime Video

Profile: Didi

Netflix

Profile: Chris

Disney+

Please do not modify passwords or profiles.

🎲 Board Games

Board games can be found:

  • under the bed in the children's room;

  • under the TV cabinet.

Help yourselves and enjoy!

🔊 Hi-Fi Amplifier

The amplifier is a:

Marantz NR1200

It works very well, although the Bluetooth connection can sometimes be a little temperamental (like hell)

Bluetooth Connection

Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the remote control for a few seconds (or a year !) to start pairing mode.

Important

⚠️ Please avoid controlling the volume from your phone.

The volume can increase very suddenly.

We recommend adjusting the volume:

  • directly on the amplifier;

  • or using the amplifier remote control.

This is much safer for both the speakers and your ears!
